Export management services

The Little Venice Institute LLC, U.S. Export Management Company

The Little Venice Institute LLC is a U.S. export management company. It does not manufacture and it does not hold inventory. The services below are financial structuring and supply chain facilitation: connecting U.S. agricultural producers with mid-to-large importers, distributors, and processors in Latin America, with a primary focus on Venezuela. The company is applying for GSM-102 exporter qualification. The application is pending. The company does not offer courses or training.

01

Export management

As the export management company, it keeps the U.S. producer, the foreign buyer, the commercial terms, and the documents on one path. It does not manufacture and it does not hold inventory.

02

GSM-102 structuring

The buyer’s bank, which must be on the CCC-approved foreign bank list, issues an irrevocable letter of credit. The U.S. exporter applies for a GSM-102 guarantee provided by the Commodity Credit Corporation. The guarantee covers most of the principal owed to the U.S. lender against the foreign bank’s default. This can enable credit terms of up to 18 months. CCC decides whether a bank is on the approved list and whether a guarantee is issued.

03

Supplier sourcing

For a buyer’s stated need, the company looks to U.S. producers of wheat, corn, rice, vegetable oils, frozen poultry, dairy, and other bulk agricultural products. The commodity, quantity, and specification are those written into the contract for that shipment.

04

Supply chain facilitation

Supply chain facilitation coordinates movement from the U.S. producer toward export, including from U.S. Gulf and Florida ports, and the timing of that movement with the documents. Carriers and handlers remain responsible for the services they perform. The company does not hold the inventory.

05

Documentation

The company assembles and reconciles the commercial documents the contract and the letter of credit name, including the invoice, the packing list, and the transport documents. It does not issue government certificates.
